Organized by the Embedded France Association, the 2023 edition of the Assises de l'Embarqué was held on January 17 last year in Bercy at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.
Challenges and Opportunities of Edge Computing
This was the central theme of this year, echoing the working group initiated in early 2022 and led by Eliane Fourgeau (Quantyss) and Frédéric Desbiens (Eclipse Foundation).
Edge Computing is about operational realities (see the testimonies of Vitirover, Liebherr, Delair, Nokia) and issues of sovereignty and security.
Finally, these are technological challenges that have been illustrated by representatives of the automotive industry (Renault, Atos, Valeo, Software Republic). In particular, the energy dimension was addressed both in its embedded and cloud dimensions. A capital subject when you know, as mentioned Katrin Matthes (CTO Renault Software Factory), that a vehicle includes 200 million lines of code, 600 million by 2025.
All the interventions are available in replay.

WedoLow, finalist of the 2023 Embedded Trophies
We were pleased to be among the 14 nominees for the 2023 Trophies. An opportunity for Justine Bonnot to pitch in front of the participants present on site or in front of their screen and to present the ambition carried out by WedoLow (ex-Yubik) and our mission alongside the development teams to enable them to design optimized software applications just as needed.
